Utility Rate Analysis

We have extensive experience in cost of service analysis and rate design with a proven track record in working with utility providers like yours to perform rate analyses. Having performed well over a thousand cost of service studies, rate studies, and other financial analyses, we have assisted numerous municipalities, public utility districts, and electric cooperatives and developed rate structures that support the utility while still meeting its customers’ needs. We have also performed several fiber feasibility studies and grant applications.

Our past performance demonstrates our ability to develop complex rate study analyses and special contract rates for many consumers. Those consumers have ranged from food processing plants to irrigation and grain bins to campgrounds, mining operations, sales for resale installations, and many others, including service to 500 MW of steel plant loads. TOTH has experience with the family of rate concepts, including, but not limited to, residential demands, power cost adjustments, time of use rates, and seasonal rates. We show the results in a concise and easily understood manner. Our experience has also consisted of performing cost of service study workshops for utility management and boards.
