TOTH congratulates Hillary Proffit on being elected to the Milsoft Advisory Board in Engineering Analysis. She will help guide the direction of Milsoft’s products by being part of the elected voice for current software users so that Milsoft can have a better understanding of how to dedicate its development resources.

Proffit has a B.S. in Physics and has worked in the electric utility industry for eight (8) years. Six of those years had been with Milsoft as an Engineering Support Technician, which gave her a solid educational foundation and allowed her to make strong connections with engineers within the industry. Proffit has been at Toth and Associates, Inc. for two years, working in the Distribution Planning Department. She actively works on the Construction Work Plans, solar interconnection studies, sectionalizing studies, and many additional tasks that clients need within their engineering department.

“Being elected means that TOTH will have a presence and input in the direction the engineering analysis software (WindMil and LightTable) will take,” says Proffit.

The first advisory meeting will be held in September 2022, when members will come together to improve their products. Milsoft is actively working on features that will benefit future analysis studies. “The features I’m looking forward to the most pertain to generation, arc flash, and LightTable. With software, I really just need to get my hands on it, test it, relay feedback, and see how TOTH can utilize it in our engineering services,” states Proffit.

Milsoft is software that helps plan, manage, and operate utility solutions. Their software is worldwide and has been around for over three decades. They have services in interactive voice response (IVR), financial management systems (FMS), outage management systems (OMS), work management systems (WMS), geospatial information systems (GIS), customer information systems (CIS), and engineering analysis (EA).
