Toth & Associates welcomes Brett Farner as Manager of ROW & Real Estate Acquisition
SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI (December 15, 2025) – Toth & Associates (TOTH) is pleased to announce that Brett Farner has joined the firm as Manager of Right-of-Way (ROW) and Real Estate Acquisition within its Land Services Department. With 17 years of experience in utility real estate and right-of-way for major transmission projects, Farner brings valuable insight to help clients navigate complex land challenges from project planning through construction and restoration.
Farner brings a deep background in electric transmission projects across public utilities and private development firms, including greenfield construction, brownfield conversions, rebuilds, reconductoring, Intelligrid fiber installations, and vegetation management corridor expansions. He has served as real estate lead on numerous FERC Order 1000 and competitive bid proposals in multiple regional transmission organization (RTO) footprints. He has overseen the full right-of-way lifecycle from project conception and routing to acquisition, condemnation support, and post-construction restoration.

He holds the Senior Right of Way Professional (SR/WA) designation from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), the highest professional credential in the right-of-way industry, as well as the Renewable Energy Certificate from the American Association of Professional Landmen. Farner most recently served as Director of Transmission Development at Invenergy, leading a team focused on securing land rights for a broad portfolio of complex electric transmission projects nationwide.
In his role at Toth & Associates, Farner will lead the firm’s ROW and real estate acquisition efforts, collaborating closely with both the Land Services and Transmission Engineering teams. His leadership will support utilities, developers, and public power entities in advancing constructible, community-conscious projects built to serve long-term needs.
