Toth & Associates Helps Local Communities Secure Funding For Nearly $19 Million In ARPA Infrastructure Improvements
TOTH assisted 13 clients in submitting 21 ARPA grant applications July 2022. Governor Mike Parson recently announced the Missouri Department of Natural Resources is awarding $410 million to improve drinking water, wastewater, stormwater infrastructure, and lead service line inventories throughout communities in Missouri.
Ten of the 21 submissions that TOTH helped prepare were selected for funding resulting in approximately $19 million, 4.6% of the total allocation, being awarded to our clients. Those community projects are:

“This is a very exciting time for the communities we serve. These projects are critically needed to ensure safe and reliable drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure,” says Matt Miller, P.E. Vice President and Civil Engineering Department Manager at TOTH.
The water infrastructure grant programs were funded through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) State Fiscal Recovery Funds and under the purview of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR). According to MoDNR, applications were scored based on the applicant’s financial need, engineering capability, and the project’s necessity. Due to the limited funds available and over 1,000 applications received, a highly competitive application environment resulted.
