TOTH evaluated the system impacts of third parties installing from 5MW to 200MW of photovoltaic (PV) generation on UEC’s system. The studies identified challenges and preliminary costs to upgrade electric facilities to allow for the delivery of power generated by the renewable resource(s) to the bulk electric grid. TOTH analyzed wheeling the generated power at multiple voltages from 7.2kV to 230kV and ensured the plans would meet the IEEE 1547 standard.
