Description:

TOTH provided structural engineering services for the new Sherwood Elementary school for Springfield Public Schools.  The 80,000 square foot project is considered a “21st Century School” and features many collaboration spaces that promote an active learning environment. 

The project also includes an ICC 500 tornado shelter and has a unique partnership with the Boys and Girls Club.  This is the first school in the State of Missouri that has a dedicated Boys and Girls Club as part of the school building.   The building is also designed to be net-zero capable which included the roof structure being designed for future solar panels.
