Description:

Toth & Associates was contracted by Re-Con Company to perform engineering services for First Electric Cooperative Corporation’s Gravel Ridge Substation. The existing station was a 15/20/25 MVA – 161/12.47kV. Voltages that were installed included 161 kV high side voltage (existing), 13.2/7.62 kV low side voltage, 120/240V secondary station service, and 13.2/7.62 kV primary station service. The services accomplished include:

• Steel structures
• Bus work
• Structure grounding
• Low voltage wiring
• Replacement of motor operator in 161 kV circuit switcher
• Installment of battery and DC charger
• Reclosers/Breakers
• Relay panels
• Removal of old control and switchgear building
