Description:

We provided structural and civil engineering as well as grant writing and administration for a new 45,000 square foot elementary school and a 6,100 square foot FEMA safe room gymnasium for Goodman Elementary, part of the Neosho R-V School District.  The original elementary school was hit by an EF-2 tornado in April of 2017.  TOTH was asked to come in the day after the tornado to help the school district to assess the damage and to work with the insurance company to fully evaluate.  The school was declared totaled and TOTH went to work to help the school district on funding and a FEMA grant.  A FEMA grant of $1.1 million was granted to fund the FEMA gymnasium addition to the new school.
