Dickinson County Courthouse Addition & Improvements
Description:
Toth and Associates provided civil and structural engineering design for the Dickinson County Courthouse addition and renovations. The old courthouse was in need of a secure entrance, additional jail beds, and more space for offices, court services, and administrative purposes. The addition consisted of 30,000 square feet with a single story and partial basement and a steel frame structure. This addition provided a 64-bed jail, a sheriff’s office, and jail administration support and offices.
To accommodate the construction of the courthouse addition, TOTH provided civil engineering design that included new parking and drive areas, site grading, and stormwater. These stormwater management improvements consisted of two detention basins, two outlet structures for the detention basins, and a stormwater collection and conveyance system.
