Description:
As part of a 10-year system study, TOTH studied the impact on Nixa’s electrical system if any single substation was removed from service.  This N-1 contingency analysis established criteria to ensure the rest of the system would remain fully functional in the event of a planned or unplanned substation outage.  The study established multiple switching plans for each scenario to transfer load from the impacted substation area to the surrounding substations and identified areas of need.
