The Springfield Business Journal publishes its Dynamic Dozen feature every year, listing the 12 fastest growing companies in Springfield, Missouri. For its 23rd edition of the Dynamic Dozen, the SBJ has added three new awards to the feature: The Visionary Award, the Culture Award, and the Heart of the Team Award. Toth & Associates, Inc. (TOTH) has appeared as a part of the SBJ’s Dynamic Dozen in the past, and is honored to be included once again this year, but also excited to have a little extra reason to celebrate: Two TOTH team members took two of the three new awards.

Connie Merritt: Heart of the Team Award

Connie Merritt, Office Administrator at TOTH’s Springfield headquarters, has been with the company for more than 10 years. Starting as a receptionist, Connie’s role has developed into what she sometimes calls “chaos coordinator”, she told SBJ Contributing Writer Claire Porter.

Asked about what motivates her to put the effort she does into her work, Connie told the SBJ: “At the end of the day, I go home, and I’m proud of what we’ve done. I grew up on a farm, and I learned to work hard when I was young, so I think that is still instilled in me today.”

Kevin Grinder: Culture Champion Award

Kevin Grinder has been working as the Director of Marketing at TOTH for almost eight years. During that time, he’s made it a priority to ensure employees feel included and do their jobs with a sense of purpose. An example of Kevin’s work in boosting company culture is the monthly internal newsletter, designed to celebrate employees across TOTH’s multiple locations, TOTH’s growth and wins, and to ensure everyone stays connected.

“I care about helping people grow but not just in their job duties, but as professionals and leaders,” Kevin told SBJ Reporter Claudette Riley in the feature. When asked about the focus of “inclusion” in his nomination letter and what the word means to him, Kevin says: “I want people to feel like they belong. I want them to know they are valued, trusted.”

Toth & Associates, Inc.: Number 10 in the 2026 Dynamic Dozen

TOTH also took the number 10 spot in the SBJ’s 2026 Dynamic Dozen list of fastest growing companies. When asked by SBJ Reporter Karen Craigo what the key to TOTH’s recent growth has been, TOTH President Adam Toth credits the company’s work with 7 Brew as it expands across the country and the growing energy needs of the country in general.

“We will cross 250 employees this year,” says Adam when talking about what recent growth has allowed TOTH to do. “It’s allowed us to bring more high-paying jobs to Springfield, Missouri. I’m excited for our community.”
