Experience: Lou has 51 years of engineering experience, having served in positions as professional engineer, president of two Midwest consulting engineering firms, and manager of engineering for an electric cooperative utility. He has served in various community organizations, as well as holding memberships in the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Historically, Lou has had complete project responsibility on a client basis in all areas of planning, design and construction contract administration for electric utility systems. He has worked with electric cooperative, municipal, and investor-owned systems, as well as industrial clients. Lou has overseen specific design projects and construction projects in areas of generation, transmission, substation, and distribution, plus rates, planning, relaying and others. He has testified as an expert witness before several jurisdictions and has given many technical presentations.
