Description:

TOTH assisted the City of Springfield with the design of stormwater improvements along Linden Avenue and Latoka Street.  The existing drainage infrastructure through the neighborhood was significantly undersized and consisted of small diameter culverts and a cobble channel with gabion baskets and natural vegetation for side slopes.  The existing cobble channel receives an upstream drainage area of approximately 125 acres.

The proposed stormwater improvements project consisted of a new collection and conveyance system with approximately 600 linear feet of storm sewer pipe, 12 concrete inlets, approximately 150 linear feet of new 2.5’ by 8’ concrete box culverts, and a cobble lined vegetated open channel.  Construction was completed in the summer of 2020.
